Use SPACE to jump, Z to struggle a little bit.

Sometimes the fish just can't do it, it's okay. After all it is just a fish.

no matter how desperate people can be, a small percentage manage to make it

Game of the year every year

Fish go in water 🐟

I didn't manage to save my fish, but nonetheless, I love the game. It's very simple, and the objective is clear, but that doesn't take away from what you've made.

Thank you so much for playing!

I can almost feel how desperate the fish was. (I mean how desperate I was) It took me three times to succeed;( I like the theme of this game and the animation of the sea works so well. Even though you just used one asset from the assets pack, I think this would be the best use of the fish asset in this package haha. This fish model doesn't feel like it's alive so I really think it perfectly fits your idea. As for critique, I would suggest that if more things could be added to save its life. Overall I like your work!

The struggle button add so much flavor to this game. Wish there is a restart button for fish that finally gets into the water. Not sure is this an artistic choice, but the fish can still makes the jump sound after it gets in to the water now. The water looks rally nice. Even though the fish may die, the game somehow still has a really relaxing vibe e. Nice work!

Thank you ;) I was intended to only let the player restart once the fish dies but I didn't aware about how players want to play it again after they win. I think I might add a restart button to the title page once the fish enters water sucessfully.

This game is one of the reasons why I'd rather be a human over a fish. As a human I can learn to swim but as a fish I can't learn to walk. Pretty easy choice here. Anyways, I like the Struggle button; it adds a bit more flavor to the fish's desperation. I did manage to save the fish on the third try and I'm glad it's not impossible.

Thxxx;)

What is life? The second one is born, the second they start to die. We replace our body with a full new set of cells every seven to ten years. Is the ability to keep breathing really this important? We jump, everyday. We struggle, everyday. We open UNITY3D, we close UNITY3D, everyday. When itch.io is closed and all the servers are down, when the whole internet is burried underground, along with our civilization, when all the WD-blue internal solid state drives are rotten and well passed the 2-year Acidental Geek Squad Replacement plan...... Does anything we do now really matter? Is sacrificing our life, is itself, a way of living? When sometimes we just can't do it, it's okay, cause after all we are just human. But even when we jump and jump and struggle and struggle, we get back to the water, the day of our lives continues, will we live happily thereafter? By then, do we have the will to Press R to Restart? Do we even want to? At the end of the day, all we can grasp from the thin air we breathe, the only truth that we can deperately hold onto so we can at least sleep undisturbed in the face of the vicissitudes of life, is that: there will always be another day. Another fish. On another beach, jumping and struggling. Its day may continue, or end. And we may press R to restart, or not.

Seriously tho, the game is so great, the sound of the wave also makes the theme stronger. Apart from a little thing that the text can be more clear, what if the fish is eaten once it gets back to water? Or more achievable, the tide falls back? I guess that would hit really hard on the player :>

Didn't expect to get such helpful feedback and deep reflections. I didn't think much about the ending but those you talked about really seem to be some good approach. Thank you for playing and leaving comment!

awesome game, cant wait to see more from you!
